Lizanne Knott Brings a Special Kind of Americana to the Underground.

Lizanne Knott has played just about everywhere. From her frequent visits to the Blue Bird Cafe in Nashville to back home at her annual set at Bethlehem’s Musikfest, and everywhere in between, look closely and you’ll find Lizanne! After spending time touring and recording her latest release, Excellent Day overseas in the UK, Lizanne returns home for a special evening at the Underground. Excellent Day binds her crisp and rustic Americana sound with polished, silky smooth vocals.

You may not know that Lizanne’s an entrepreneur.  She manages the Grammy award winning MorningStar Studios built on a quiet three acre plot in East Norriton. Knott is also a firm believer in the power of philanthropy.  As we speak, she sits on the cusp of launching her new concert service the Mission Room, intended to benefit various non-profit organizations. First up, the Mission Room will be benefiting Farm Sanctuary.

Lizanne’s lyrics stem from a churning pool of life experience, pop culture, and inspiring tour interactions. This talented strummer  welcomes fellow local icons to stage with her on Saturday, September 9th, including the notable American styled-rock singer-songwriter Skip Denenberg, Mike Branfield, and drummer, Tommy Geddes. Join us, as for the first time the Underground welcomes an artist more in line with an evening on Mountain Stage, than the traditional Lansdale scene.

If you’re looking for more on Lizanne Knott, check out Excellent Day. From an editor’s perspective, there’s no replacing the enchanting melodies of Goodbye and ‘Wish You Wanna Break My Heart.’ Both sounds place you at the setting of a warmly lit, ornamental hotel lounge. Follow them up with the soft tones of ‘Rainbow Crow’ and Tennessee to truly showcase Lizanne’s subtle vocals and wholesome story telling. Well produced, not overproduced, Excellent Day fits anyone’s autumn playlist. All you need to do is bring your coffee and a porch rocker.
